Interstate 275 - Sunshine Skyway Bridge which is 5.5 miles long and crosses Tampa Bay. It was opened in 1987 replacing the previous bridge built in 1954 - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow
The previous bridge was struck by a freighter - the SUMMIT VENTURER - and ten cars and a Greyhound coach plummeted into the water.  Thirty five people lost their lives - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow
