Lower Ninth Ward

 

The Industrial Canal, the wall of which failed and caused catastrophic flooding in the Lower Ninth Ward after Hurricane Katrina struck in August 2005 resulting in the loss of over 1800 lives - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow

Intracoastal Waterway extends for some 3,000 miles around the Gulf and Atlantic seaboards of the United States and includes canals and bays and avoids open stretches of sea - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow
