Capitol Reef and Escalante
Contrasting colors between Moab  . . .
. . . and Capitol Reef National Park.  We took the Escalante route . . .
. . . stopping off for a picnic lunch at Fruita where there is this charming little School House, now a museum  . . .
. . . complete with an apple for the teacher.
Not far away, just beyond the Fruita Picnic Site, is the Gifford farmhouse built in 1908 and now also a museum . . .
. . . in addition to its preserved rooms and artefacts it is highly recommended for its apple pie!
