The Overgate at Long Wynd with Ford Consul Mk2 KTS 570. At that time Dundee had two dedicated registration letters TS and YJ. When it was decided that all Scottish registration plates must contain the letter "S", YJ was reallocated to London - PHOTOs Ronald MacLean

Earl Grey Dock with ships of the Royal Naval Reserve. The old swimming baths are on the left of the photograph astern of the wooden walled frigate HMS UNICORN and the Coastal Minesweeper in the centre of the picture would have been named HMS MONTROSE while attached to the RNR. It would seem to be M1175 HMS WISTON and was unusual at that time in having an enclosed bridge. The ship inboard was not sea-going - PHOTOs Ronald MacLean

Despite the snow, sand continues to be loaded from the sand boat on to a Commer truck in Shore Terrace. The spire of the West Station is visible at the end of the street - PHOTOs Ronald MacLean
Near white-out conditions with the Royal Arch dominating the scene in front of the bus stance in Shore Terrace in the days before the city centre became one giant bus stance - PHOTOs Ronald MacLean
