A two week Swiss Rail Pass with travel to and from Switzerland by Eurostar. The outward journey was via Brussels and Köln; the return via Dijon and Paris. Four nights were spent respectively in Chur and Brig from each of which places daily excursions across Switzerland are very easy, especially since the Swiss Rail Pass is valid on many of the lake steamers and on municipal transport in many cities. It is worth noting that there is no supplement to pay on the Deutsche Bahn ICE train provided your journey is entirely within Switzerland - i.e. between Interlaken and Bern. |
